Bhukwani Holdings (Pty) Ltd was founded by Mr. Bulelani Mhlelembana, born and raised in Mthayise Village. His journey into entrepreneurship began at the young age of 18 while he was still a high school learner. Driven by determination and a desire to support himself during difficult times at home, he opened a small tuck shop selling sweets, chips, and biscuits.
Although the business did not make a profit at first, Bulelani remained committed. With his parents struggling to afford school fees, he worked tirelessly and refused to allow circumstances to defeat him. After two months, the business began to grow, enabling him to restock and eventually pay his own school fees. This moment marked the beginning of a powerful entrepreneurial story built on perseverance and vision.

During one of his regular trips to town to buy stock, Bulelani met a kind gentleman who asked about his business and future plans. After hearing his story, the man was impressed by his courage and ambition. He generously offered to support him with additional stock and assist in registering his business officially.
